Here is the banana bread recipe you’ve been looking for. This recipe is from my friend Terri in Atlanta and it is very easy to make. The nuts give the bread added texture and flavor, but you can omit them if you prefer.
Banana Nut Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
Mix flour and soda. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add bananas and mix well. Fold in dry ingredients and nuts. Place in loaf pan.
Bake at 350°F for 55-60 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing.
Yield: 1 loaf (about 12 slices)
