I have been using this recipe for a few years and don’t know where it came from but it sure is a keeper.
Pork and Bean Bread
Mix together:
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
3 eggs
1 can (16oz.) Pork & Beans
Beat till it gets smooth
mix 2 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Add to bean mixture just till moist. Stir in 1 cup raisins dusted with flour and 1 tsp. vanilla
grease and flour 5 16oz. soup cans
I put these in my slow cooker for about 4 hours on med. high till tooth pick comes out clean and brown on top. I add 2 cups of boiling water around the cans.
This can also be baked in reg. oven-325 degrees for about 45 min.
